Simply Delicious Oatmeal

Nutritious and filling and easy and quick to make for those busy mornings.

Serves 2

Ingredients

1 cups regular flake organic oats (not quick oats)
2 cups water
1/4 cup add-ins I use a mix of dried goji berries, golden berries and raisins
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cardamom
1/8 tsp ginger
2 tsp organic molasses
1-2 table spoons maple syrup (optional)
3/4 cups almond milk or other plant based milk of choice

Method

Add oats, water and dried fruits to a medium sized pot and bring to a boil over high heat. This will only take about 2 minutes so keep an eye on it!   Stir and turn down to minimum and add spices, molasses and maple syrup and mix well to combine. Put a lid on it for a 3-5 minutes.  Your oats are now done!! Sprinkle with other enriching toppings like nuts, seeds and fresh fruit! Enjoy.
