Energy Bites

Never mind rolling these delicious ingredients into individual balls, that’s too time consuming and tedious. This fast, simple, whole foods energy bite is a sinch to whip up in 10 minutes!

1 1/2 c raw almonds
1 1/2 c raw cashews
1/4 c raw sesame seeds
2 handfuls raisins
4 large medjool dates
3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1 1/2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/8 c water

-Put almonds into food processor and grind into coarse flour. Add cashews and process until combined and crumbly. Add the rest of the ingredients one at a time and process until each ingredient is combined and mixed thoroughly. Drizzle water while food processor is running until mixture just gets tacky.

Press into 9″ square pan lined with plastic wrap. Top with raw chocolate if you want to really jazz this up.

These are delicious as is but you can add some extra umph to it by adding a raw chocolate topping and sprinkling hemp seeds and coconut flakes. Store these beauties in the freezer.

Raw Chocolate:

I used a 3rd of this recipe from

“raw chocolate: makes around 2 cups
1/2 cup agave nectar/maple syrup/date paste/raw honey or whatever sweetener you like
3/4 cup cacao powder
1/3 cup coconut oil or cacao butter, melted
Mix all ingredients until smooth and ridiculously delicious-looking. I highly recommend adding other ingredients like mesquite powder, sea salt, vanilla, or anything else that could take this to another level!
Try not to eat it all before it hardens… I had some trouble.”

It hardens awesome because of the coconut oil. It is also a decadent summer treat to coat on frozen strawberry halves.
